Respect Life Issues on Display

The Guardians for Life at St. Ambrose Academy joined with our Respect Life team and prepared the display in our Gathering area that highlights five important life issues.  Please take a moment to read and ponder the messages presented under the banner of “Christ our Hope in Every Season of Life.”

Rosary for Life in October.

The Respect Life team invites you to join in a Rosary for Life before each of our weekend Masses during October.  The Rosary will begin 30 minutes before each Mass in October, starting the weekend of October 5-6.  We will meditate on many life issues as we pray each of the mysteries of the Rosary during October.

40 Days for Life Vigil

St. Thomas Aquinas is participating in the 40 Days for Life campaign in Madison.  From Sept. 25 through Nov. 3 we will join others in 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion in Madison.  St. Thomas Aquinas will pray at Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on each Wednesday during the Vigil from 5 to 6 p.m. and from 6 to 7 p.m.  Two people will be present during each of these two-hour periods.  Signup sheets for our parish commitment are in the Gathering area or you can sign up online at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4DA4A82BA3FB6-40dayfor.

Please consider joining Fr. Bart in an hour of prayer at the clinic on Thursday October 17 from 6 to 7 p.m. All ages are welcome.

Anointing Mass and Luncheon

Are you suffering from a chronic illness, facing physical challenges, expecting surgery, or in need of healing for some aspect of your life? Join us for a special Mass and the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick to be held in church on Wednesday, October 9 at 11 am. Following Mass, all attending are invited to a luncheon in the social hall. Please RSVP by October 6 to the parish office.

Unplanned Movie

Thursday, October 24, 6:30 – 8:30 pm in the Social Hall. See the movie that recently hit #1 on Amazon and broke Box Office records earlier this year.  Be challenged and inspired by “UNPLANNED”, the dramatic true story of a former Planned Parenthood director’s eye-opening journey across the life line. Though this movie is rated R for graphic images, students under 17 are welcome, but must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

Adoration

Join others in praying for a greater reverence and respect for all life in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the STA chapel during October (see bulletin for times).  Respect Life prayer cards are available on the Adoration table inside the Chapel.
